The big difference is the simplicity and speed of the payout. Together with the partner banks, Getmomo has defined a completely digital process through which the investment, release or redemption is quick and uncomplicated. The payout can be made in two banking days. Thus, the Getmomo bank guarantee has a comparable degree of hardness to a cash deposit, without the associated administrative effort for investment, annual settlement and disbursement. In contrast to the Getmomo Bank Guarantee, the encashment of security deposits often involves additional steps and uncertainty. On average, the time between determination of the claim and an actual payout is between two and six weeks.
Getmomo only arranges bank guarantees from institutions based in Germany via the Getmomo platform. Currently, Getmomo works exclusively with Vereinigte Volksbank Raiffeisenbank (vvrb.de) and SWKBank (swkbank.de).
The creation of new tenants is done completely digitally in a few steps via the Getmomo platform. The entire process takes no longer than 30 seconds per tenant. The building management or the owner only provide the basic data about the tenancy agreement via the Getmomo platform (address, location of the rental unit, warm and cold rent and amount of the deposit). All other personal data is provided by the respective tenant after the invitation via SMS.
Yes, this is possible without any problems. Up to two tenants can be included in the respective contract per bank guarantee. In Germany, it is estimated that 30 to 50% of all tenancy agreements are issued to at least two persons. The workload for the property management does not increase further with a second party in the tenancy agreement. The attachment is done in the same way as for a single person in the tenancy agreement. All additional information that goes beyond the basic information in the tenancy agreement is provided by the second party in the tenancy agreement.
